My husband, Bryan, and I attended the 3-Day LAM Workshop.
Saturday night after the workshop ended we had
gone up to you and shared how we’ve been trying for 5 years to have
another child and that I have a few fibroids in my uterus that have
grown..so you prayed for us that night.

Well, we did our sex challenge…originally had set it for 14 days but
ended up doing 7 or 8 days. I was pleasantly surprised but still
cautious when my period didn’t come on the 28th day since I’m so
regular.

I just took the home pregnancy test and found out that I’m
PREGNANT!!!!!!! First time in 5 years!!!! I stared at the pregnancy
test in shock and started weeping!!!! When I calculated the date of
conception online, it was that Saturday night you prayed for me!!!!
YAY GOD!!!

The slight problem is that I still have fibroids in my uterus and I
just talked to my OB and he said they cannot take the fibroids now
that I’m pregnant.

I really do believe that since the Lord gave us this baby HE is going
to make all things right. The fibroids must shrink or dissolve!!!!!

I just wanted to share this awesome testimony and thank you for
praying for us that night and speaking so much LIFE into our marriage
during LAM!!!!

UPDATE: Sohui is now 8 weeks pregnant and the baby is growing beautifully!

Last week, Jen and I attended Love After Marriage, a workshop created by Barry and Lori Byrne, basing out of Bethel Church in Redding, CA.

We experienced the Holy Spirit in a way we never had before – together.

 

I didn’t know marriage could be like this.

I discovered my wife in a new way.

I became more powerful and began to love stronger as a man.

I saw the woman I married being restored to her joy and true personality.

Thanks again for LAM it was truly marriage changing. Not even a week removed my wife and I have taken a couple of walks together and prayed as we walked. Everything is so different and new. We truly miss each other during the day. So excited for our future together as a couple and family and looking forward to ministry as well. Tell Lori we say Hi. Love you guys.

 

You were on our hearts to contact. Thank you for your hard work and your diligence with LAM. LAM has greatly enriched our marriage and the love we have for one another. We feel so much more intimacy with eachother. We hope that in the near future to lead a LAM group in our location. God bless and don’t look back, look forward onto what the Lord has for you!

Just a quick shout out to you both and Holy Spirit. Our small group met last night to do our spiritual journey and another couple. DANG!!!!!! Everyone confirmed how they felt this group was put together and orchestrated by the Holy Spirit. It was powerful. I’m telling you….wow. The similarities in Paul/my story compared to the other couple is nuts And this is just the beginning. We are so excited. Just wanted to give you a precious gem on this Wednesday morning.

I can not thank the Lord enough for the work He did with Mike and I through the marraige course.  Thank you so much for teaching us how to connect on a heart to heart level and teaching us about the importance of our sexual connection.  We have always been such good friends that our marriage had really become about two friends sharing live together, raising children and following the Lord, and occasional sexual moments.  We always wanted more but did not know how to get more.  The session on nothing hidden really uncovered deep pain that I had that Mike had never romanced me even though I had asked and asked and given him ideas how he could.  I was so tired of putting in all the effort of our emotional connection that somewhere along the line I just stopped and settled for getting along well.  With the skills you taught us on how to really be heard and understood, for the first time I could see that Mike really understood my pain and felt so much pain for not fulfilling that role in our marriage.  It opened up both of us to tell each other about things that have really hurt us over the years and we have been able to have the Lord heal areas of our lives that have been affecting our marriage.

After many tears and a lot of prayer, forgiveness and nailing things to the cross we are doing so well.  We have gone from friends to lovers!

We have always had communication issues in our marriage.  Mostly, well always, my fault.  I just tended to shut down whenever we had major disagreements.  I refused to talk which, in turn, got my husband completely frustrated.  This issue was one of the main things we wanted to work on during the LAM workshop.  And wow!  The first day it was so easy to push through the usual point of break down and just talk!  I think it was the atmosphere created by Lori and Barry and the intercessors.  I felt no heaviness and it felt good to be able to communicate freely and completely with my husband!

As my husband and I have served in marriage ministry in our local church for the last 6 years, we have come across some pretty great teachings designed to help marriages.  However, we have felt that something was lacking…many couples were “helped” to some extent but we weren’t seeing the powerful, lasting changes that we know God is capable of.  When I watched the testimonies of the couples who went through LAM on the website I KNEW WE HAD TO GO!  Not only to help others, but to gain personal victory in one area of our own marriage where we continued to struggle.

Joe and I have a great marriage (of 8 years) and love each other deeply, but our sex life left much to be desired.  It was the typical “married with young children-he wants to have sex, but she’s too tired and not interested” scenario.  We prayed, we talked, we mustered up energy to try a few new things, but once again felt stuck.   The week before we left for LAM we had another tough talk and the Lord began showing me how I had never truly given myself to my husband and allowed him to love me.
